Jan Adams, Chief Credit Officer
Jan Adams currently serves as Chief Credit Officer (CCO) for Community Housing Capital. In this role, she manages the credit underwriting and closing divisions of the organization, including managing the loan approval process. She’s also responsible for risk oversight in accordance with company and investor guidelines and, as a member of senior management, is additionally responsible for balanced loan portfolio growth.
Prior to her role as CCO, Ms. Adams was VP, Credit Administration at Community Housing Capital. In that role, she was responsible for interpreting and ensuring adherence to loan policies and procedures in the presentation of clear and balanced credit approval documentation. Additionally, she provided ongoing review, recommendation and refinement of loan policies and procedures to ensure maintenance of high credit quality standards.
Before joining the Community Housing Capital team and over the past 25+ years, Ms. Adams has worked as a Senior Vice President (or equivalent) in a few large and mid-size commercial banks in the Atlanta area. During her tenure as a banker, she specialized in affordable housing (LIHTC, bonds) and traditional commercial real estate (office, industrial, retail, hospitality and housing, both multi-family and single-family) finance and underwriting.
Ms. Adams completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Miami University and a Master of Business Administration in Real Estate and Banking from Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.
