As a Loan Officer, Donyetta Edwards originates interim and permanent financing for nonprofit affordable housing organizations nationwide, manages existing client relationships, and develops new lending opportunities. During her tenure with Community Housing Capital, her work has included approximately $200 million in predevelopment, interim, New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC), and permanent financing. With more than 20 years of experience in finance, Ms. Edwards has spent the last 15 years specializing in affordable housing lending, underwriting, and investment.

Prior to joining Community Housing Capital, Ms. Edwards served as Manager of Investment Underwriting for Gardner Capital, where she oversaw the Underwriting/Syndication group and served as Project Underwriting Manager for LIHTC transactions in which Gardner Capital was the state tax credit equity partner. During her tenure, she closed transactions totaling more than $120 million in state tax credit equity.

Ms. Edwards also served as Assistant Vice President and Senior Portfolio Specialist with Truist Bank Community Capital, where she managed and underwrote community development investments, including Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits, and other private equity investments, across a portfolio representing more than $140 million in total borrower exposure.

Ms. Edwards holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
