Lisa Getter, Chief Operations Officer
Lisa Getter serves as Chief Operations Officer (COO) for Community Housing Capital. In this role, she oversees the organization’s operational performance, ensuring compliance and supporting CHC’s mission through the effective management of systems, people, and processes.
Ms. Getter brings more than 25 years of experience in affordable housing finance. Prior to joining CHC, she served as Vice President of Real Estate Programs at NeighborWorks America, where she led national efforts to achieve the organization’s real estate strategic priorities. In that capacity, she provided subject matter expertise, strategic planning, and national thought leadership, guiding program development and management activities to align NeighborWorks’ capital and technical resources with the needs of network organizations developing and preserving affordable housing.
Her housing career spans multiple disciplines, with prior experience at Fannie Mae in the American Communities Fund and in its single-family and multifamily mortgage businesses. Her work in underwriting, asset management, business development, pricing, customer engagement, and credit risk has given her a comprehensive and cross-functional perspective on real estate finance and organizational management.
In addition to her roles within Fannie Mae’s core businesses, Ms. Getter has deep experience in corporate philanthropy, having managed the company’s highest-capacity philanthropic partnerships in its Community, Investment & Engagement division. Earlier in her career, she also served as an underwriter at the Community Preservation Corporation (CPC), one of the nation’s largest CDFIs dedicated to financing multifamily housing.
A native of New York City, Ms. Getter earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from Dartmouth College and a Master of Business Administration in Real Estate Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Contact Lisa at
