A National Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI)Flexible Loan Capital Customized to Create Affordable Housing

Community Housing Capital has been shaped by many hands over the years — but few have left a mark as deep as Cindy Holler's.

On June 1, 2026, Cindy announced her retirement as CEO of Community Housing Capital after eight years of transformative leadership. This is a planned transition, and the CHC Board of Directors is proud to celebrate everything she has built.

Eight Years of Growth and Impact

When Cindy joined CHC in FY2019, the organization had $104 million in total assets and over $203 MM in loans under management. Today, those figures stand at $203MM and $291MM respectively — a reflection of her vision, her relationships, and her relentless focus on serving affordable housing developers well.

Under her leadership, CHC evolved into a more sophisticated and responsive lender with an S&P Rating of AA-. She expanded CHC's product offerings to meet developers where they were, building new tools in direct response to what developers said they needed. Since 2021, CHC has received four rounds of New Markets Tax Credit, totaling $180MM.

Cindy leaves CHC serving NeighborWorks organizations in all 50 states and Puerto Rico, with a strong balance sheet, a strong team, and an organization well-positioned to grow.

What Comes Next

Cindy will remain CEO through December 31, 2026, to ensure a thorough and successful leadership transition.

The CHC Board of Directors, led by Board Chair Julie Porter, has partnered with executive search firm BroadView Talent Partners to conduct a comprehensive national search for the organization's next CEO. The Board is committed to identifying an exceptional leader who will build on CHC's strong foundation, advance its mission, and guide the organization through its next phase of growth and impact.

CHC's fundamentals remain strong. Our capital base, our team, and our relationships with NeighborWorks America, its network organizations, and our funders and partners are unchanged. The affordable housing crisis demands continued commitment, and CHC is ready to meet it.
