Joe Weisbord

Joe Weisbord is a housing finance strategist and policy advisor with over 35 years of experience at the intersection of mortgage markets, community development finance, housing policy and development. As founder and principal of JRW Strategies, he combines deep policy and market expertise with a practitioner's focus on execution — helping CDFIs and mission-driven housing organizations translate analysis into effective strategy, programs, and products.

Joe has held senior roles at the Federal Housing Finance Agency, Fannie Mae, and CSH, a national CDFI. For more than 20 years, he taught housing finance and policy in the graduate planning program at Pratt Institute. He currently serves on the boards of Community Housing Capital, the Center for New York City Neighborhoods, and CUCS.

Joe holds a BA in Urban Studies from Oberlin College and an MS in City and Regional Planning from Pratt Institute.
