CHC's $525,000 bridge loan to Mennonite Housing Rehabilitation Services, Inc. (MHRSI) financed the completion of the French Quarter Apartments, Wichita, KS, a new construction project of 34 multifamily units. The project is designed for family occupancy and consists of 34 units: 17 duplexes with 1, 2 and 3 bedroom configurations. The project also includes a clubhouse and playground with a large common space in the central portion of the site. Mennonite Housing's mission is to provide affordable housing options for the low-income and elderly residents of Wichita, Kansas. Therefore, the affordability criteria is 50% or less of area median income. Since its inception, MHRS has repaired over 12,000 homes and built over 500 new homes in Wichita and surrounding areas. The majority of its units are developed for seniors, transitioning homeless and the disabled.
