Alan Ferguson, Senior Vice President, Development & Operations at the American Opportunity FoundationAlan Ferguson is Senior Vice President, Development & Operations at the American Opportunity Foundation, Inc., a national non-profit. He is responsible for managing the key development activity for the Company, including new development, partnerships, and asset management of the existing portfolio, leading a market expansion throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions providing capital and seeking acquisitions of affordable workforce housing. Formerly, he was Senior Vice President of Community Development, for Invest Atlanta, a registered local government authority that was created to advance Atlanta’s global competitiveness by growing a strong economy, building vibrant communities, and increasing economic prosperity for all Atlantans. Mr. Ferguson was responsible for leading the division’s strategic, management, and transactional activities. This includes bringing together policy, strategy, and innovative tools to create and deliver diverse housing, development, and revitalization opportunities within the City of Atlanta. He provided oversight of a portfolio exceeding $1.6B in property assets and budget oversight exceeding $3MM, bringing considerable experience to his participation in the Audit and Risk Management Committee of the CHC Board of Directors. Mr. Ferguson has formerly served as Credit Risk Manager for Fannie Mae and as a Senior Business Manager with AD&C Lending, Washington DC/Atlanta, GA.
